The Linux NUC Cassini system controller with Xubuntu LTS 24.04+ can connect to a Windows Share (SMB) from the File Manager application using gigolo. For more information, search the internet for "xfce thundar gigolo". The File Manager (Thundar) application uses universal resource identifier (URI) as the "path" to locate a folder.

1. Choose Whisker menu and File Manager.
2. Choose Browse Network or click in the path name and type the URI: smb://<hostname>/<share> or sftp://<hostname>/<path>
3. User credentials can be entered and saved with the gnome keyring for this session or forever.

1. Highlight the file, perhaps a .GZP file, by choosing the Whisker menu and File Manager, then select the target folder and file.
2. Choose Copy... from the right mouse button or Edit menu.
3. Navigate to the desired destination
4. Choose Paste from the right mouse button or Edit menu to copy the file to the destination.
   

1. Choose Whisker menu and then type Printers or navigate to Settings > Printers.
2. Click on Add button and enter a device URI (if known), or click on Network Printer for a list of compatible URIs. Click on Find Network Printer to discover printers configured to respond.
3. Click Forward and choose the relevant driver.
