The RI8574 ArcaOS EPC TIM has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. This model was first shipped in 2008 and last shipped in 2020. Over its lifetime, it received multiple internal updates, including changes to main boards, CPUs, RAM, and storage options, all compatible with the required RIFL Master parallel ATA adapter.
As of January 2021, the RI8574 TIM entered Limited Availability status. Support will continue on a best-effort basis for repairs and replacements until existing spare parts are depleted.
The recommended replacement is the RI8608 Linux NUC System Controller, which connects via the RI8613A USB RIFL Master TIM.
This solution works with:
- RI8568C Cassini 16 Infrastructure (Rev C or earlier, shipped before 2023)
- RI8568D Cassini 16 Infrastructure, which includes an embedded USB-A interface and is not compatible with the RI8574 TIM.

Support Options Going Forward
- Upgrade at a reduced price by trading in your existing model (Recommended).
- Purchase an annual support contract, guaranteeing ongoing support for the RI8574A through the contract term.
- Continue using the TIM without a support contract: Repairs will be attempted on a time-and-material basis while parts are available. If parts are unavailable, an upgrade will be required.
